Don’t Allow Misuse Of Ayurveda

Date:

It is undeniable that Ayurveda is a wonder science developed in the Indian Subcontinent in a gradual process which took hundreds of years to reach the pinnacle as today the genuine Ayurvedic medicines and yogic postures can cure a number of diseases proficiently with hardly any side effects as the manufacturing of placebos in Ayurveda sans use of chemicals and in case there is a use of such toxins, the percentage is marginal making it a safe alternative mode of medicines.

What is troubling the fraternity dealing with Ayurveda is the people's lot which is breaking the rules and modifying the compositions of Ayurvedic drugs to have undue monetary gains without giving a thought to the harm associated with the fiddling of authentic Ayurveda.

In this context, reportedly   Uttar Pradesh has recently banned some Ayurvedic medicines which were being sold with allopathic composition. Going by this wrongful trend, the J&K Ayush Department has rightly sought a report on 17 Ayurvedic medicines and asked if these were available in the stores across the UT.

Reports have already confirmed that a controversy is going on regarding one of the so-called Ayurvedic medicines after a -based social activist has lodged a complaint with the Ayush department alleging that it might contain steroids due to the properties of instant relief for joint pains. The concerned department under the J&K Government thus holds a bigger responsibility to keep a check on such unlawful aberrations so that no entity in J&K could dent the image of Ayurveda as this system of medicines has been considered as a harmless alternative to other prevalent systems of medicines and therefore such controversies can drive the people away from this bountiful panacea for fighting with the diseases without any harmful side effects.

The step taken by the concerned quarters to know the facts and figures of the aforesaid 17 medicines is  quite apt as the need of time is to stop all the malpractices involved in this system of medicines as Ayurveda cannot afford such misdemeanors anymore.

While Ayurveda stands as a beacon of natural healing and holistic wellness, its integrity is under threat from those who seek to exploit it for personal gain. It is imperative for regulatory bodies and stakeholders to remain vigilant against such malpractices to safeguard the trust and confidence of the people in Ayurveda. Only by upholding the principles of purity and authenticity can Ayurveda continue to flourish as a safe and effective alternative medicine system, offering healing without harmful side effects.
