Drone giant DJI has revealed its entry into the e-bike segment with the launch of ‘Amflow PL'. This electric mountain bike leverages the company's expertise in building advanced technology for drones and cameras.
The Amflow PL comes equipped with DJI's newly developed ‘Avinox Drive System' which includes a range of smart and connected features. Riders can view vital riding data like speed and battery level on the bike's 2-inch touchscreen display. Users can also pair their phone to the e-bike using the DJI Avinox app. This allows real-time bike tracking and customizing ride modes from the phone.
DJI has packed four different riding modes – Auto, Eco, Trail and Turbo alongside a Boost mode for added power assistance when needed. An integrated ‘Smart Assist Algorithm' adjusts electric power delivery automatically based on riding effort. This ensures a smooth riding experience across terrain.
Two battery variants are available – 600Wh and 800Wh which provide up to 117km and 157km of range respectively. The powerful 850W motor generates 105Nm of torque for climbing hills with ease. Other highlights include carbon fiber construction and compatibility with 27.5 and 29-inch rear wheels.
Pricing starts from Rs. 6,31,323 for the basic PL Carbon model and goes up to Rs. 10,82,268 for the top-end PL Carbon Pro 800Wh variant. The DJI Amflow PL will be available later this year, marking the tech giant's first foray outside drones and cameras. With its advanced systems and connectivity, the e-bike promises to set a new benchmark in the electric two-wheeler segment.
