Dilapidated roads in Abu Bakar Colony, Bemina irk locals

    Date:

Srinagar, May 30: The potholed roads in the interiors of Abu Bakar colony in Bemina area here has left the local commuters anguished with the residents alleging it to be a reason of immense hardships.

The residents said that the roads are in shambles for the past several years and demanded immediate macadamisation of these roads.

Locals from the locality said that inner lanes of the colony are in shambles and completely dilapidated while the concerned authorities have been turning a blind eye towards it and have not macadamized the roads since 2019, thus leaving the residents here to lurch at large.

During the rainy season, the potholes get submerged and it becomes difficult for the people to move out of their houses to reach the main road, the locals said.

They demanded concerned authorities to take immediate steps and ensure the roads are macadamized so that the people here could heave a sigh of relief.
