Commercial LPG prices hiked by Rs 195.5; Cylinder at Rs 2,078.50

NEW DELHI, Apr 01: Prices of commercial LPG cylinders have been increased again, with a 19-kg cylinder now costing Rs 2,078.50 in Delhi, according to state-owned oil companies.

This marks the second hike since the West Asia conflict began on February 28. The previous increase of Rs 114.50 per 19-kg cylinder was implemented on March 1.

In Bengaluru, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder has risen to Rs 2,161.

However, domestic LPG prices remain unchanged. The last revision saw a Rs 60 increase in the price of a 14.2-kg household cylinder on March 7.

State-owned oil marketing companies, including Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum, revise LPG and ATF prices on the first day of every month based on international benchmarks and exchange rates.

Global oil prices have surged nearly 50 per cent since the onset of the West Asia conflict, disrupting energy supply chains.

Meanwhile, petrol and diesel prices continue to remain unchanged following a Rs 2 per litre cut announced in March last year. In Delhi, petrol is priced at Rs 94.72 per litre and diesel at Rs 87.62 per litre. (Agencies)
