Bharatiya Janata Party, Jammu & Kashmir celebrated J&K's Vilay Divas (Accession Day) like Deepawali by distributing sweets, lightening earthen lamps, dancing on the tunes of traditional Dhol and bursting crackers at party headquarter, Jammu.The programme was organized by the workers of BJP District Jammu and BJP's State Refugee Cell team.
State President Ravinder Raina (MLA) prompted every resident of the state to celebrate the important day of “Vilay Divas” like Deepawali at their homes as well with full enthusiasm as on the day, despite all odds and difficult circumstances the Maharaja of the state, Shree Maharaj Hari Singh ji signed the “Instrument of Accession” enabling the strategically and geographically important state of Jammu & Kashmir to join the Union of India.
While wishing the residents of the state on the auspicious day, Raina said that countless of people have sacrificed their lives to see the day and we are dutybound to save our motherland from invadors, terrorists and other evils. He also said that we must also pledge to free the land of our state from the illegal occupation of Pakistan. He appealed every resident of the state to celebrate the day by lighting their homes and exchanging sweets with the near and dear ones.
All the BJP leaders and the workers were seen in jubilant mood and were seen wishing each other on the historical day, while airing the Nationalist slogans. The festive mood was evident from the expressions of all the dedicated force.
MLC Charanjit Singh Khalsa, Rajeev Charak, Sanjay Baru, Chandar Mohan Gupta, Pt. Ashok Khajuria, Munish Sharma, S. Varinderjit Singh, Tilak Raj Gupta, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Baldev Singh Billawaria, Vikas Sharma, Hunar Gupta, Brig. Anil Chib, Vikram Singh, Surinder Choudhary, Vinay Gupta, Surinder Sharma, Dinesh Gupta, Bharat Sharma, Ankush Gupta were among the prominent BJP leaders present during the celebrations.
