Arrangements for President’s visit reviewed

Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Hemant Kumar Sharma today chaired a meeting of officers to discuss arrangements for President of , Ram Nath Kovind's visit to Jammu.
The President is scheduled to visit Jammu and on April 18 during which he will attend the convocation of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University and attend a function at Amar Mahal.
Threadbare discussions were held on various vital issues related to security, traffic regulation, , hospitality and protocol besides deployment of fire & emergency services.
Hemant Kumar took detailed stock of arrangements being put in place by the government agencies at the venue of the function .
The Divisional Commissioner stressed upon the officers to make sure that all necessary arrangements are made well in time for the successful conduct of President's visit. He further stressed upon the need for close coordination among different agencies.
Among others present were IGP Jammu Zone S D Singh, Additional Commissioner Jammu Rehana Batool, Deputy Commissioner Jammu Kumar Rajeev Ranjan, Commissioner JMC Ramesh Kumar, Director Hospitality and Protocol Majid Drabu, Director Floriculture Babita Rakwal, Director Health Jammu Dr. Gurjeet Singh, ADC Jammu Arun Manhas, CE M&RE Ashwani Gupta, Joint Director Information Jammu Naresh Kumar, Joint Director Fire Services Ram Tirath Dubey, Managing Director Handicraft I. H. Drabu, Additional Secretary JKAACL Dr. Arvinder Singh Aman, SE PHE Ajay Singh, XEN R&B Rajan Mengi, Director Dordarshan Ravi Kumar, Station Director Radio Kashmir Anjali Sharma, besides other senior officers of various departments attended the meeting.
