Srinagar, Aug 10: In view of the allegations on social media questioning the Shopian encounter during which three unidentified militants were killed, a defence ministry spokesman on Monday evening said Army is investigating the matter.
Col Rajesh Kalia said we have noted social media inputs linked to the operation at Shopian on July 18, 2020.
The three militants killed during the operation have not been identified and the bodies were buried based on established protocol, he said.
