Apple has taken the wraps off their new generation of true wireless earbuds, the AirPods 4. The tech giant is offering two models – one with active noise cancellation and one without. Both versions come equipped with various enhancements over previous AirPods like improved audio quality and battery life.
Powered by Apple's new H2 chip, the AirPods 4 provide enhanced performance. Users can enjoy sharper sound with support for wider bandwidth audio up to 48kHz as well as adaptive EQ tuning. Battery life sees a boost of up to 30 hours total, allowing users to go longer between charges. For convenience, the new charging case is more compact in size than earlier models.
Among the notable upgrades is ‘Adaptive Transparency', which automatically adjusts the ambient sound levels based on a user's environment. There is also ‘Conversation Boost' that detects when someone is speaking near the wearer and reduces background noise for clearer communication. Touch controls on the stems let users play/pause media or answer calls with a simple tap.
The AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation include an additional noise control mode for blocking outside sounds. Both variants support head-nod gestures to control Siri and isolate voice inputs for calls. Pricing starts at Rs. 12,900 for the standard AirPods 4 and Rs. 17,900 for the ANC version. Pre-orders are open now direct from Apple in India.
