Well-known actor Akshay Kumar has tested positive for Covid-19, making him unable to attend the high-profile wedding of industrialist Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. Kumar, who has been actively promoting his recent film, had not been feeling well for the past two days. Upon experiencing deteriorating health, he got tested and the results came out to be positive for the virus.
As per reports, Kumar felt unwell during the promotion stint of his latest movie and was experiencing symptoms. Given his condition was not improving, he decided to get clinically screened for Covid. Unfortunately, the reports confirmed he had contracted the virus. The actor has since isolated himself as per medical guidelines to curb the spread and recover soon.
Kumar’s diagnosis has left his massive fan following concerned. He was scheduled to be part of the Ambani family celebrations in their special day today. However, in the wake of his Covid status, the superstar will now regretfully miss out on attending the high-profile wedding festivities of Anant and Radhika. Earlier, Kumar had enthralled everyone with his vibrant dance moves at the pre-wedding functions till late night.
His latest film was also released in theatres today. Directed by Sudha Kongara, the movie is a biopic depicting events from the life of GR Gopinath. While the film has witnessed mixed viewer response so far, Kumar was excited for its release. Wishes are pouring in for him to recover at the earliest.
