16 out of 26 Govt Hr Sec schools in Bandipora headless

Bandipora, Feb 17 (KNO): Around 16 government higher secondary institutions in five educational zones of North 's Bandipora district are without principals thereby taking a heavy toll on the official work of these institutions.

An official document accessed by the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), revealed that out of 26 higher secondary schools of district Bandipora, 16 are without principals, thereby hampering the smooth functioning of these instructions.

The documents also reveal that around 25 high schools out of 50 are also without headmasters.

District Bandipora has five educational zones which include zone Bandipora, Quil, Gurez, Hajin, and Sumbal. In these zones several major higher secondary are headless, speaking volumes about the functioning of government educational institutions.

A source said that several teachers and masters were promoted or either attached to the directorate of school Kashmir before February last year but to date, the replacements are still awaited which has rendered several higher educational institutions across the district headless.

Sources said that the vacant post of the Principals in the government-run schools has adversely affected the administrative scenario in these educational institutions.

Chief Education Officer Bandipora Javid Iqbal expressed his concern over the dearth of principals in the higher secondary's and said efforts are being made to fulfil the vacancies in the coming weeks.
