Delhi-bound train catches fire at Kathua

: Passengers of Delhi-bound train had a close call today, when one of the coaches caught fire near Kathua Railway Station.

“Passenger coach C5 of Delhi bound Anand-Vihar Express this evening caught fire when reached Kathua,” police spokesperson here said.

He said panic gripped the passengers when the fire broke out reportedly due to short circuit. “Thetrain was stopped at the station while the passengers rushed out,” he said adding that complete coach got damaged in the fire.

“The burnt coach was disconnected and the train later left the station for the destination,” said the spokesperson adding that no injury or human loss was reported in the fire incident.
