LG Sinha’s first SAC meet awaits major decisions, reshuffle

Date:

Northlines Correspondent| Tawi | Aug 19: 's Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha is scheduled to hold (State Administrative Council) a SAC meeting this week. This will be his first meeting in the UT as Lt. Governor for which the outline has been prepared. This first meeting is considered very important because it will be changed on a large scale. Apart from this, some important decisions will also be taken in the state interest. The Lt. Governor has discussed in Delhi the decisions to be taken in this meeting.

According to the information, no date has yet been announced for the meeting. But the word is out that there will be a meeting this week in which transfers will be the main agenda. Besides this an important decision may be taken in the UT regarding daily wagers. Also, there will be decisions regarding development works and some orders are expected to be issued to implement changes.

As far as the transfers are concerned, sources claim that the transfer of police and administration officers is the main agenda since the transfers are overdue. LG will also be appointing officers including the ones from outside the UT of JK to run the system according to the plan that will  be chalked out in the first meeting. Non – local officers can also be posted at key positions.

There is a huddle in the officers of the entire UT regarding this meeting. Because in his first speech, it was said on behalf of the Lieutenant Governor that action will be taken against corrupt officials which has not been seen on the ground yet. They could also be removed. It was only after this speech that Sinha asked his personal staff to extract the data of the officers. This was done to figure out posting intervals of bureaucrats. Data was also collected on the officers getting better postings for a long time. Complete information has been gathered about their functioning, which only makes this first meeting more relevant.
