New Incharge of party affairs for J&K likely to be appointed soon

JAMMU Tawi, Jul 16: The BJP National President, Nitin Nabin, is soon going to constitute his new national team and some senior leaders of the J&K unit of this party are likely to be inducted in this team, reliable sources said.
Apart from this, the J&K Incharge of the BJP Affairs, Tarun Chugh, is also likely to be replaced by some other senior party leader as Incharge of Party’s J&K affairs, they said.
“Former Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh, former minister in BJP-PDP coalition government, Dr Devender Manyal, Shakti Parihar, Dr Narinder Singh and some old stalwarts who have been marginalized in the past are possible aspirants from the J&K BJP who are likely to be inducted in the BJP’s national team to be soon constituted by Nitin Nabin” reliable sources within the BJP informed the Northlines.
These J&K BJP leaders are most likely to be given the post of party’s national secretary, national general secretary, spokesperson or some other posts, they further informed. The J&K BJP leaders may also be made incharge of the party’s affairs for any State or the Union Territory other than the J&K UT, the sources further informed.
It may be mentioned here that Tarun Chugh is the Incharge of BJP’s J&K affairs. He is also the party’s National General Secretary and now is elected a member of the Upper House.
Reliable sources informed the Northlines that the BJP high command has been looking for some other senior party leader to take charge as party’s J&K affairs to replace Tarun Chugh.
They further said that very soon, a new Incharge for J&K BJP affairs will be appointed by the party. Observers said that many of the senior BJP leaders, Kavinder Gupta, Sat Sharma, Dr Nirmal Singh others were not given the party’s mandate in the last Assembly elections held in J&K UT.
After much sulking within the party on the denial of the tickets, Sat Sharma was provided a double opportunity first by his appointment as J&K UT Party president and later a seat in the Rajya Sabha. Later, Kavinder Gupta was first appointed as LG of Ladakh and later as Governor of Himachal Pradesh.
The party source said that other waiting were assured by the high command to be given prized positions in the party in coming days.
