Rajouri, Jul 14: Security forces on Tuesday launched a massive search operation in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district after CCTV footage purportedly captured the movement of two suspected terrorists, officials said.
The operation was launched jointly by the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the Army after the suspects were seen crossing a road late on Sunday night in the CCTV footage.
Acting on the inputs, security personnel intensified searches across Bhanghai, Hasplote, Karyote, Kopra Top and adjoining forested areas to trace the suspected terrorists.
Officials said the multi-agency operation is being carried out in a coordinated manner, with security forces conducting extensive searches in the dense forest belt to prevent any possible movement of the suspects.
No contact with the suspected terrorists had been established till the filing of this report, while the search operation was continuing in the area. (Agencies)
