Rajouri, Jun 23: Security forces continued extensive search operations in the dense forests of the Dorimal-Gambhir Mughlan area of Manjakote sector in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district on Monday as the anti-terror operation, Operation Sheruwali, entered its 32nd day.
Officials said all security agencies involved in the operation remain on high alert, with search and surveillance activities continuing to track any suspicious movement and ensure the safety of local residents. Additional checkpoints and area domination patrols have also been intensified as part of the ongoing operation.
According to officials, the operation is progressing as planned, with security forces maintaining constant vigilance across the rugged forest terrain.
Launched in late May, Operation Sheruwali is a multi-agency counter-terrorism combing mission aimed at locating and neutralising armed infiltrators believed to be hiding in the mountainous forest belts of the Dorimal-Gambhir Mughlan sector.
“Security forces remain alert and committed to maintaining peace and security in the area. Additional checkpoints and area domination patrols are also being conducted as part of the ongoing efforts,” officials said.
The prolonged operation underscores the determination of security forces to eliminate the terror threat and maintain peace in the border district of Rajouri. Authorities have urged residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies as search operations continue in the area.
