Lucknow, June 12: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday said that India has witnessed a historic transformation over the past 12 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, moving decisively towards the vision of a “Viksit Bharat” through a convergence of faith, governance, and economic development.
Addressing a media interaction at Lok Bhavan on the occasion of completion of 12 years of the Modi government, CM Yogi said unprecedented progress has taken place with the poor, women, youth, and farmers at the centre of governance. He described the journey from COVID-19 management to national security, women empowerment, farmer welfare, youth development, cultural renaissance, and Atmanirbhar Bharat as “historic and transformative.”
He reiterated the goal of making Uttar Pradesh a one trillion dollar economy by 2030, stating that the state has received maximum benefit from central welfare schemes.
Highlighting achievements, he said schemes like Jan Dhan Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission, PM Awas Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, and DBT have strengthened governance delivery. He added that crores of people have been lifted out of poverty and welfare benefits have directly reached the needy.
CM Yogi also underlined progress in women empowerment, youth skill development, and farmer welfare, citing initiatives such as Mission Shakti, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, and PM Vishwakarma Yojana.
He said India’s cultural heritage has been revived through projects like Ram Mandir, Kashi Vishwanath Dham, and Mahakal Lok, adding that India’s global stature has significantly risen under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.
The Chief Minister also criticised opposition parties, accusing them of ignoring development and heritage-driven governance reforms.
