JAMMU, May 23: In a major crackdown on narcotics-related activities, the district administration and police on Saturday carried out a demolition drive against the alleged illegal property of a suspected drug smuggler in the Miran Sahib area of Jammu district.
Officials identified the accused as Navjot Singh alias Bablu, son of Amar Singh and a resident of Indira Nagar, Miran Sahib. Bulldozer operations were conducted on the property allegedly linked to the accused as part of the administration’s ongoing anti-drug campaign.
The joint operation was conducted under tight security arrangements by civil and police authorities. Senior officers present during the drive included SDM R.S. Pura Anuradha Thakur, Tehsildar R.S. Pura Chander Shekhar, SDPO R.S. Pura Gurmeet Singh, SHO Miran Sahib Jatinder Singh, SHO R.S. Pura Tribhuwan Khajuria, SHO Bishnah Deepak Thakur and Probationary SHO Arnia Rashid Kesar.
Officials said adequate preventive measures and police deployment were put in place to maintain law and order during the demolition process.
According to authorities, the action is part of an intensified campaign against drug smuggling and illegal narcotics networks operating in the region. They reiterated their commitment to taking strict action against those allegedly involved in drug trafficking and related unlawful activities.

Meanwhile, in a similar action on May 22, the district administration and Jammu and Kashmir Police in Udhampur demolished a commercial property allegedly built illegally by an accused drug smuggler as part of ongoing anti-narcotics operations across the Union Territory.
