The Lieutenant Governor further remarked that India’s identity as the world’s largest democracy is deeply rooted in the ideals of Sardar Patel, whose commitment to unity in diversity remains a guiding force.

Referring to Maharashtra, he described it as a land of industry, spirituality, and sacrifice, and paid homage to leaders such as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Peshwa Bajirao, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, and Vinayak Damodar Savarkar for their contributions to national unity.
