Pahalgam Hotel Booked For Concealing Stay Of Foreign Tourists

ANANTNAG, Mar 23: Police have registered an FIR against a hotel in Pahalgam for allegedly concealing the stay of foreign nationals and violating mandatory reporting norms, officials said on Sunday.

During a routine check in the Dehwatoo area, authorities found that 23 foreign nationals, including 19 British citizens, had checked into a hotel in Laddi on the evening of March 22.

Police said the hotel management failed to inform Police Station Pahalgam and did not submit the mandatory Form ‘C’, violating provisions of the Foreigners and Immigration Act, 2025 and breaching prescribed security protocols.

Accordingly, FIR No. 18/2026 under relevant sections has been registered at Police Station Pahalgam, and an investigation has been initiated.

District Police Anantnag has urged all hotel operators to strictly comply with legal requirements for reporting foreign guests to avoid such action in future. (Agencies)
