Srinagar, Feb 11: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Wednesday appointed the Administrative Secretary, Finance Department, as the Union Territory-Level Nodal Officer in connection with the 8th Pay Commission.
The appointment was notified through Circular No. 01-JK (GAD) of 2026 dated January 7, 2026, issued by the General Administration Department (GAD).
According to the order, the Administrative Secretary, Finance, has been designated to coordinate and liaise with the Department of Expenditure under the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, regarding the implementation of the recommendations of the 8th Pay Commission.
The circular was signed by Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, M. Raju, IAS, under the authority of the Jammu and Kashmir Government. (Agencies)
