New Delhi, Dec 30: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment, posting and in-situ upgradation of 40 senior officers to key positions across various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India, according to an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
As per the notification issued by the Secretariat of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet and accessed by news agency Kashmir News Corner (KNC), several IAS, IPS, IRS and other senior service officers have been appointed as Special Secretaries, Additional Secretaries, Directors General and Chairpersons, with vacant posts upgraded wherever required.
Among the key appointments approved by the ACC, Shri Suchindra Misra (IDAS:1992) has been appointed Special Secretary in the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Shri Dilip Kumar (IAS, PB:1995) has been posted as Director General (Training), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, while Shri Shyamal Misra (IAS, HY:1996) has been appointed Administrator, Digital Bharat Nidhi, Department of Telecommunications. Ms. Aneeta C. Meshram (IAS, UP:1996) has been appointed Additional Secretary in the President’s Secretariat and Shri Lav Aggarwal (IAS, AP:1996) as Director General, Directorate General of Foreign Trade.
Ms. Caralyn Khongwar Deshmukh (IAS, MP:1996) has been appointed Additional Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development, Shri Rakesh Gupta (IAS, HY:1997) as Additional Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Ms. Sonal Mishra (IAS, GJ:1997) as Chief Labour Commissioner (Central), and Shri Rabindra Kumar Agarwal (IAS, KL:1997) as Chairman and Managing Director, Food Corporation of India. Shri Srikant Nagulapalli (IAS, AP:1998) has been appointed Director General of Hydrocarbons, while Shri Anandrao Vishnu Patil (IAS, TN:1998) has been posted as Additional Secretary, Department of Higher Education.
Shri Ajoy Sharma (IAS, PB:1999) has been appointed Additional Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Shri Ashutosh Agnihotri (IAS, AM:1999) as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Shri Solomon Arokiaraj (IAS, AP:2000) as Additional Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat, and Shri Niranjan Kumar Sudhansu (IAS, MH:2000) as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. Ms. Vandana Jain (CSS:1991) has been appointed Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser, Ministry of Culture.
Ms. Nidhi Pandey (IIS:1991) has been appointed Additional Secretary, Department of Atomic Energy, Shri D. Saibaba (IRSME:1992) as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Power, Shri Satinder Kumar Bhalla (ITS:1992) as Secretary, North Eastern Council Secretariat, Shri Dinesh Mahur (ITS:1992) as Additional Secretary, Department of Defence Production, and Shri Mayank Tiwari (IRSME:1993) as Additional Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. Shri Ateesh Kumar Singh (IRTS:1994) has been appointed Additional Secretary, DPIIT, Shri Rakesh Mittal (IDES:1995) as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Defence, Ms. D. Sai Amutha Devi (IP&TA&FS:1995) as Additional Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat (SR), and Shri Vedveer Arya (IDAS:1997) as Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
Under in-situ upgradation to the Special Secretary level, Shri Asit Gopal (IFoS, MP:1990) has been upgraded as Special Secretary and Financial Adviser, Ministry of Textiles, while Shri Ramesh Krishnamurthi (IRS-IT:1992) has been upgraded as Central Provident Fund Commissioner in the rank of Secretary.
The order also approved in-situ upgradation to the Additional Secretary level for Shri Mukesh Mangal (ITS:1992) in the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Ms. Meenaxi Rawat (IES:1993) in Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd, Ms. Archana Sharma Awasthi (IRS-IT:1994) in the Department of School Education, Shri Manoj Kumar (IRS-IT:1994) in the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management, Shri Nitesh Kumar Mishra (ICAS:1995) in the Department of Youth Affairs, Shri Anupam Mishra (IES:1995) in the Department of Consumer Affairs, Ms. Anu Nagar (IFoS, HP:1995) in the Department of Health Research, Shri Alok Prem Nagar (IFoS, HP:1995) in the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, and Shri Chetan Prakash Jain (IRPS:1995) in CSIR.
Ms. Ballepu Radhika Chakravarthy (IPoS:1996) has been upgraded in the National Commission for Women, Ms. Anita Karn (IFoS, GJ:1997) in the Department of Food and Public Distribution, Ms. Debolina Thakur (IA&AS:1998) in the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, and Shri Manish Tripathi (IDAS:1998) in the Ministry of Defence.
The orders were issued with the approval of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet and signed by Manisha Saxena, Secretary, ACC and Establishment Officer, DoPT.
