Jaish sleeper cell under scanner: Police conduct raids at 10 locations in Kashmir

NEW DELHI, July 19:  In a major crackdown on terror networks, the Counter-Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) unit of the Jammu and Kashmir Police conducted raids at 10 locations across four districts of the Kashmir Valley on Saturday. The searches are part of an ongoing investigation into a terror-crime nexus allegedly operated by Jaish-e-Mohammed commander Abdullah Ghazi from across the border. Officials say the case involves sleeper cells and a recruitment module working to reignite terrorism in the region.

The coordinated raids were carried out at one location in Pulwama, six in Ganderbal, one in Srinagar, and two in Budgam.

Authorities have confirmed the operation is aimed at dismantling cross-border terror infrastructure attempting to exploit local networks.

Further details on the raid findings are awaited as the investigation continues.
