Jammu Tawi, April 30: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Wednesday declared the results of the Higher Secondary Part Two (Class 12) Annual Examination 2025 and Class 10th today, as per the deadline announced earlier.
Higher Secondary Part Two (Class 12) Annual Examination registered an overall pass percentage of 75%. Out of 1,03,308 students who appeared for the examination, 77,311 successfully cleared it.
With an overall pass percentage of 79.94 per cent, Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) Wednesday declared the results of annual regular examinations of 10th standard.
Girls have once again performed better than boys in both the examinations with 80 and 81 per cent respectively.
In 12th Exams, the pass percentage among girls stood at 80%, while boys achieved a 69% pass rate. In the distinction category (75% marks and above), 30,622 students were placed, whereas 36,131 students secured first division (60% and above). The number of students who got second division (48% and above) stood at 30,034, and only 74 students passed in the third division.
A total of 970 students failed the examination, and 25,027 students will have to reappear in one or more subjects. The board also reported 42 absentees and 30 examination cancellations. Additionally, 24 students had disputed eligibility and 3 were disqualified.
The Commerce stream recorded the highest pass percentage at 79%, followed by Science at 75% and Arts at 66%.
The top-performing subjects include Persian, Philosophy, Islamic Studies, and Punjabi with pass percentages close to or at 100%. Among vocational courses, Health Care, Automotive, and Beauty & Wellness showed outstanding results with most students achieving first-class marks.
In 10th Class Examination:
“Girls registered a total pass percentage of 81.24 percent while boys registered only 78.74 percent,” BOSE said
In the exams, a total of 1,456,71 students were enrolled for class 10th session Annual Regular 2025 in the UTs of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh out of which 1,164,53 students qualified the exams.
It also said that at least 16,343 students qualified the exam with A1 grade, 18,678 students with A2 grade, 22,219 secured B1 grade, 27,171 got B2 grade, 25,583 secured C1 grade, 6432 C2 grade and 49 students have been placed in Grade-D.
The figures also reveal that in the exams, one student was having a disputed eligibility, three students were caught with unfair means, exam was cancelled of 40 students, five students were disqualified for two years and one student for three years.
The official had said that nearly 3,55,963 students were registered for the annual regular examination of class 10th, 11th and 12th including 1,32,992 candidates of 10th standard, 1,20,673 in 11th standard and 1,02,298 students of 12th standard respectively.
