    Ram Navmi: JKDT to organize ‘Rath Yatra’ on April 5

    Jammu Tawi: J&K Dharmarth Trust (JKDT) is organizing a grand Rath Yatra on April 5, 2025 on the eve of Ram Navmi celebrations.

    This was informed by Dr. Parshotam Singh Pathania, President of J&K Dharmarth Trust while addressing a press conference at Trust’s Central Office in Jammu. On the occasion, Ashok Kumar Sharma, Secretary and members of Sanatan Dharam Sabha and Dharmik Yuvak Mandal were also present.

    Briefing media persons, Dr Pathania, President informed that the Trust is organizing the grand Rath Yatra with traditional zeal and enthusiasm. The Sobha Yatra will be conducted in collaboration with Sanatan Dharm Sabha and Dharmik Yuvak Mandal, he added.

     

    Dr Pathania said that the Shobha Yatra will cover the traditional route this year commencing from historical Shri Raghunathji Temple and after passing through various markets of Jammu Old City and will finally culminate at Shri Raghunath Ji Temple. He further informed that the Shobha Murti Poojan ceremony will be performed at 4 PM on April 5, 2025, in the premises of Shri Raghunath ji Temple followed by Rath Poojan. After that the Rath Yatra will start from Shri Raghunath ji Temple, he added.

    Ashok Kumar Sharma, Trust’s Secretary informed that the Rath Yatra shall start from the Shree Raghunath Ji Temple Complex and pass through Residency Road, Rajinder Bazar, Kanak Mandi, City Chowk, Purani Mandi, Link Road, Jain Bazar, Chowk Chabutra, Pacca Danga, Moti Bazar, Gita Bhawan, Ranbireshwar Temple then again move towards again City Chowk, Raghunath Bazaar and finally culminate at Raghunath Ji Temple.

    The Secretary appealed to the people of Jammu to participate in the Shoba Yatra in large numbers and let us all come together to celebrate this auspicious occasion with harmony and joy. Among those who were present include Anil Sharma, President Dharmik Yuvak Mandal and Nischal Anand, Treasurer Dharmik Yuvak Mandal.
