Jammu Tawi, Jan 3: Advocate Kanav Sharma son of senior BJP leader and advocate Chander Mohan Sharma, was fired upon by a meter reader of the Power Development Department (PDD) in New Plot area outside PDD office on Friday. The incident occurred following a dispute over a parking issue. According to reports, an argument ensued between the two parties regarding the parking of vehicles, which later escalated when the PDD meter reader opened fire. Kanav Sharma injured in the incident rushed to a Government Hospital Sarwal from where after preliminary treatment shifted to the Government Medical College Jammu hospital for advanced medical treatment. On getting information, police have launched an investigation into the incident. Authorities are gathering details from witnesses to understand the full sequence of events leading to the violence.
