Mumbai, Dec 8: The eagerly awaited TATA Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 Player Auction will take place in Bengaluru on December 15, with a total of 120 players featured in the auction list.
The list includes 9 Capped India players, 21 Capped Overseas players, 82 Uncapped India players, and 8 Uncapped Overseas players, reflecting the league’s emphasis on both emerging Indian talent and established international stars.
Of the 120 players, 19 slots are available for teams to fill, including 5 reserved for overseas players. The auction will begin at 3 PM and is expected to play a pivotal role in strengthening team line-ups ahead of the 2025 season.
Roger Binny, President of the BCCI and Chairperson of the WPL Committee, expressed enthusiasm for the auction, underscoring the rising global interest in women’s cricket.
As the TATA WPL 2025 season approaches, the auction is set to shape the future of women’s cricket in India and across the world, bringing together some of the finest talent in the sport.
