Jammu Tawi: The Gandhian Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies at GGM Science College, under the patronage of Principal Dr. Romesh Kumar Gupta, organized an interactive session focused on “Gandhi’s Views on Youth as Agents for Social Transformation.” The event, which saw enthusiastic participation from a large number of students, was guided by the efforts of the organizing team, including Dr. Shalini Sharma (Co-Convenor), Prof. Sunita Kumari, Prof. Mehnaz Bano, and Dr. Suresh Sharma.
The session provided a dynamic platform for students to engage with Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of youth as catalysts for societal change. Participants actively shared their thoughts on how Gandhiji’s principles could inspire the younger generation to promote social harmony and transformation in contemporary society.
During the session, Principal Dr. Romesh Kumar Gupta emphasized the crucial role of youth in fostering peace and harmony within society. He encouraged students to channel their energy into positive societal contributions and work toward building a peaceful and cohesive environment. Dr. Gupta also highlighted the importance of understanding and respecting diverse religions, urging students to avoid misinterpretations and instead embrace the universal message of peace and unity shared by all faiths.
