Islamabad: Over 20 killed and 46 injured in a bomb explosion at Quetta railway station in Pakistan on Saturday. According to reports, the explosion occurred at the station’s booking office which damaged the platform’s roof and was heard across the city. Reports said that Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the blast. Rescue and law enforcement teams after securing the area and shifted the injured and dead to Civil Hospital Quetta. An emergency was declared at the hospital, where additional medical staff was summoned to deal with the injured. Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti condemned the attack, terming it as “a horrific act targeting innocent civilians”, and ordered an immediate investigation. He said that terrorists are increasingly aiming civilians, labourers, women, and children, and vowed that those responsible would be pursued relentlessly.
