‘Salman Khan has his unique schedule’, says Emraan Hashmi on superstar’s work ethic
Actor Emraan Hashmi, who was recently seen sharing screen space with Salman Khan in the blockbuster film Tiger 3, opened up about working with the superstar in a recent interview. When asked about rumours of Salman Khan often reaching movie sets late, Emraan responded diplomatically saying “He has his individual work pattern and routine”.
Emraan, who is currently promoting his latest web series ‘Showtime’, recalled his first meeting with Shah Rukh Khan years back and how the superstar encouraged him. He spoke about developing a great working relationship with Salman on the sets of Tiger 3.
The actor said that even though they may not be friends in the traditional sense, there is a huge mutual respect between them. Emraan stated “When we were shooting together, it felt like talking to an old acquaintance. Even though he is senior, we connect over our love for fitness and growing up in the same neighborhood of Bandra in Mumbai”.
Several other colleagues of Salman Khan have openly talked about his habit of turning up late on movie sets in the past. While some producers had to literally plead with him to start work, others spoke of impatience after waiting for long hours. However, Emraan chose to diplomatically highlight Salman’s professionalism instead of adding to such gossip or speculation regarding his work ethic.
It is evident that Emraan Hashmi and Salman Khan share a cordial working relationship of admiration and respect for each other, despite not mixing in the same friend circles. Tiger 3 proved to be another blockbuster hit for YRF cementing this successful on-screen pairing.
