    Five dead, two injured in accident in J&K

    , July 05: Five persons died and two others got injured when an Omini Van they were traveling in skidded off and fell into 400 feet deep gorge by the road near Shabanbas area of Banihal in district Ramban, here this morning.According to the police officials three persons died on spot whereas two of the four injured died on the way to the hospital and other two sustained serious injuries in the accident.

    They said that the reason behind the accident could be rash and negligent driving, the vehicle was on the way from Ramsoo to Banihal.

    The deceased were identified as Shabir Ahmed (Driver), 31,son of Ghulam Mohammad, resident of Thachi, Tehsil Banihal, Mohammad Ayoub,50, son of Abdul Aziz, resident of Sarbagni, Parveen Begum,40, wife of Mohammad Ayoub Kotach, resident of Sarbagni, Nargis,36, wife of Parvez Khan resident of Chamalwas, Irfan Ahmed,34, son of Asadullah Malik resident of Chachihall .

    The injured were identified as SPO Gulzar Ahmed, 30, son of Gul Mohammad, resident of Ramsoo, Hanan Parveez Khan,13, son of Parveez Ahmed resident of Chamalwas. The injured were rushed to the Srinagar hospital. A case has been registered in this regard.
