Bukhari is a capable person to handle Education Deptt

Srinagar, Feb: Hours after minor reshuffle in portfolios of ministers, Government spokesperson Naeem Akhtar said that Chief Minister has the ultimate authority and he is satisfied with the changes in the portfolios.

Akhtar who was holding the Education ministry till date has been assigned the portfolio of Civil Works (R&B) while Education has been given to Altaf Bukhari.

Akhtar said when he had took over the charge of Education ministry people used to say what he (Akhtar) will do in education, but now the results are before everyone. “I am sure the new Education minister will take forward the mission and bring more and more reforms in the system. He is a capable person who knows his job very well.”

Akhtar, however, said the R&B is a challenging job for him. “But I will consult people like Veeri sahab and Altaf Sahab, as they both have been ministers of this very department, to utilise their expertise to try and understand the functioning of the vital department,” he said.
