Under the much talked about PM package for Kashmiri Migrants, it has been widely observed that the vacant ST, SC, OSC and Social Caste posts gets de-reserved into General Category/Open Merit. De-reserving vacant SC/ST/OSC posts into General Category will be total discrimination and injustice towards the reserved category candidates. It is well established fact that reserved vacant/unfilled posts should only be allocated to reserved category candidates so it should not be allocated to the general category candidates as the reserved category posts are only meant for SC/ST/OBC/Social Caste/PHP/RBA candidates.
Further, thousands of non-migrant Kashmiri Pandits have applied under RBA category but the number of posts for the RBA are less in number thereby creating hurdles for the RBA candidates to get selected for the advertised posts under PM package. It would be in the fitness of things if vacant and unfilled posts under SC/ST/Social Caste/PHP gets de-reserved into RBA category so that maximum RBA candidates may get chance to get selected for these posts of PM package. The government must either re-advertise these unfilled/vacant posts of ST/SC/Social Caste for only ST/SC/Social Caste category or de-reserved these posts to RBA category that will go a long way in making PM package a grand success. Therefore I would like to make a humble appeal to the Hon’ble LG to kindly pave a way for De-reserving ST, SC, OSC and PSP vacant posts in favour of RBA category candidates as by doing this maximum RBA category candidates will get selected under this PM package.
