New Delhi, January 01 : India has reported 22,775 new cases of Covid19, with 406 covid19 fatalities during the last 24 hours, as per Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
As per the ministry, a total of 3,42,75,312 covid19 patients have recovered so far in the country and 8,949 patients have been recovered in the last 24 hours across India.
“The active caseload of the country currently stands at 1,04,781, which constitutes 0.30 percent of the total cases,” said the MoHFW.
It further said that the daily positivity rate at present is 2.05 percent and weekly Positivity Rate remains at 1.10 percent.
The ministry further said that 145.16 Cr. vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive and 67.89 Cr. total tests have been conducted so far throughout the country.
However, till now the country has reported 1431 omicron cases with 488 patients said to have been discharged/recovered. As per MoHFW, the tally of omicron cases in Maharashtra stands at 454 and 351 in Delhi. (KNB)
