The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), a gang of anti-India Islamic countries as usual, on Monday expressed “deep concern” over the delimitation exercise in Jammu & Kashmir. It claimed that the exercise is in “direct contravention of the relevant UN Security Council resolutions and international law, including the 4th Geneva Convention”. It further added that the exercise is “altering the demographic structure of the territory and violating the rights of the Kashmiri people”.
These countries who have ganged up on their communal agenda to spread all communal hatred and playing victimhood card under the guise of political forum, always claimed the Islamic countries' self-righteousness while condemning all secular and non-Islamic and democratic nations. They never hesitate in interfering in the internal affairs of India and other democratic countries in Europe and elsewhere.
So far their stands taken against India have a history that is based on lies, half-truths and disinformation spread by none other than Pakistan to whom this OIC always supported.
Meanwhile, India has slammed the “unwarranted” comments of the OIC and asked the grouping to refrain from carrying out its “communal agenda” at the behest of one country, in an oblique reference to Pakistan.
“We are dismayed that the OIC secretariat has once again made unwarranted comments on the internal affairs of India,” External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said.
“As in the past, the Government of India categorically rejects the assertions made by the OIC secretariat on the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir which is an integral and inalienable part of India,” he said.
Bagchi was responding to media queries on the OIC statement on the delimitation exercise in Jammu and Kashmir.
“The OIC should refrain from carrying out its communal agenda vis-a-vis India at the behest of one country,” Bagchi said.
The delimitation commission, tasked with redrawing parliamentary and assembly constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir, notified its final report earlier this month.
Going by the text of the resolution adopted by OIC, one can well understand how half-truths reflect in their perception toward Jammu and Kashmir when they termed whole of the Jammu Kashmir demographically as a Kashmiri Muslim majority region. The erstwhile state has different topographical, geographical and demographical maps within a single political unit having various inhabitants of different religious denominations in various regions and sub-regions. One fails to understand how the demography would change in Jammu and Kashmir by invoking the Delimitation process which is an internal adjustment within.
Because of these communal characteristics, the Organisation of Islamic ‘Cooperation' which always held one sided expressions of hatred against the secular and democratic nations made it irrelevant in international politics with zero credibility.
