Youth hangs self after watching YouTube videos, writes 10 points on how to die using rope in suicide note

In the suicide note, the deceased had written 10 points on how to kill oneself using a rope. The police say he had watched a lot of videos on how to commit suicide.

A 24-year-old engineering graduate committed suicide on Wednesday in Hyderabad after watching videos for tips on how to hang self.

The incident is from Anupama men's hostel under SR Nagar police station. The youth apparently hanged himself after watching videos on how to commit suicide on Youtube.

SUICIDE NOTE LISTS 10 POINTS ON HOW TO KILL SELF USING A ROPE

Police recovered a suicide note written by the deceased Navin Kumar, in which he had written 10 points on killing self with a rope.

The suicide note stated that Navin was under depression because of some family issue and thus resorted to the extreme step.

Speaking to a news site, Inspector Md. Waheeduddin said “The youth had listed 10-step method on how to commit suicide by hanging. It included details about how to tie the rope to the ceiling fan, and how to tighten the nook. He had watched videos of the same on a social media platform.”

Naveen Kumar was a native of Motkur of Nalgonda district and had been staying at the hostel since February this year. He was taking coaching for some courses.

A case under section 174 CrPC has been registered and further investigation is on.
