Vaishno Devi pilgrim dies of heart attack

, Sep 5 (PTI) A 76-year-old pilgrim today died on his way to Vaishno Devi shrine apparently due to a heart attack in Katra town of Reasi district in Jammu and .

Narinder Chandhavat, a resident of Jodhpur in Rajasthan, fell unconscious near Tripti Bhojnaliya en route the cave shrine and was shifted to a nearby dispensary, a police officer said.

The doctors at the dispensary declared him as brought dead and the apparent cause of death seems to be heart attack, he said.

A case has been registered, he said.
