Two Vaishno Devi pilgrims die of heart attack

: Two pilgrims en-route Vaishno Devi were reported dead in Katra Town, Reasi District, . The reason was narrowed down to heart attack.

One Deendayal Gupta (64), resident of Delhi, fell unconscious yesterday near Himkoti and was taken to a nearby dispensary where doctors declared him brought dead, a police officer said today.

In another incident, 65-year-old Rajeshwari Devi, resident of Uttarakhand, fell unconscious yesterday near Gate Number 3 on the way to the ‘Bhavan' and was taken to nearby dispensary where doctors declared her brought dead, he said.

Cause of death in both the cases seem to be cardiac arrest, the officer said, adding, a case has been registered and the bodies have been handed to the families.
