Troops to upgrade security grid on border, Kashmir valley

    Date:

, December 9 (KIP):-Notwithstanding exchange of pleasantries between and Pakistan including Pakistan' lifting ban on the import of Indian cotton troops, guarding the LOC, and the BSF, deployed on the IB, have been directed against lowering the guard.

Instead security forces have been asked to upgrade security cover on the LOC and the IB in order to prevent militants from sneaking into the Indian  territory.

Reports  said that demonetization has caused financial squeeze among the militants and in order to have required funds a groups of militants looted several lakh  rupees in Pulwama. This way troops have been told to check flow of fake Indian currency notes from  across the

border.         Troops have been told to ignore the bonhomie between India and Pakistan which is evident from the latest statements of Pakistan High Commissioner, Abdul Basit, and the Union Minister,Gen.V.K.Singh which could be a ruse being played by Pakistan.

Meanwhile security forces, deployed within the valley have been told to carry out search operations in response to reports from the intelligence agencies for smashing the hideouts of militants and for recovering large quantities of arms and ammunition which have been hidden in those hideouts.

They have been instructed to check the movement of militants from south to Doda-Kishtwar-Bhaderwah belts for toning militancy related violence.(KIP)
