Srinagar, Nov 28: Tremors were felt in several parts of Kashmir after an earthquake of 4.0 intensity on the Richter scale hit the region on Friday, officials said.
The tremors were felt at 9.06 PM and lasted for a few seconds.
As per the National Center for Seismology, the epicenter of the earthquake is located at latitude 34.26 in the north and longitude 74.44 in the east, with a recorded depth of 10 KM in Baramulla. There was no report of any loss of life or damage to property, they said.
