Trade, Industry bodies condemn torching of schools

Date:

Tawi, November 6 : Majority of  people in the valley
feel peeved over the torching of the schools which has affected the
academic activities of their wards. Torching of the schools has added
to the scare of students who dare not attend the educational
institutions.

The Federation Chamber of Industries Kashmir has strongly
condemned the burning of schools in the Kashmir valley.

The federation in its statement said, “The of our children
is most important and nothing can replace education as far as the
development of our children is concerned.”
Statement said: “Valley students have shown their potentials during
the last 25 years despite of the turbulent situations in Kashmir
valley. They have excelled in each and every field, be it education or
professional education despite of all odds.

It is a part of the vicious plan to disturb the agenda of self
reliance of the State. A large number of educated Kashmiri youth are
excelling in entrepreneurship and government service that has unnerved
miscreants in and out of the State.”

“The elements who are burning our schools are the enemies of the
Kashmiri nation and to defeat the enemies the public policing is the
need of the hour,” statement added The leaders of industries have
obliquely blamed militants and separatists for the mischief which
could have a far reaching impact on the students of Kashmir who
otherwise have shown their talent in various fields despite 27-year
long turmoil in the valley.
