Top IAS officer attempts to take her life in Kashmir


A senior IAS officer likely to be questioned in the episode

Srinagar, Jun 24: An IAS officer serving in attempted to take her life earlier this week.

Sources claimed that the availability of a surgeon at the Government was the only reason that officer is alive right now.

Sources also revealed that the senior IAS officer returned home after office hours and was joined by another colleague, who also happens to be a senior IAS officer.

After some time the visiting officer left the residence of colleague seeming visibly upset.

“The domestic help of the officer in the house noticed that there was no sound was emanating from the officer's room. On checking the premises the help was shocked to find the officer lying semi conscious with blood flowing from the wrists,” sources added.

The help immediately alerted the rest of the officer's staff and the officer was rushed to the nearby government hospital where luckily for him the Doctor who was on duty happened to be a surgeon who immediately patched up the wounds and stopped the bleeding.

Sources maintain that had the officer arrived at the hospital just a few minutes later, it is almost certain that officer would not have survived.

While everyone is tight lipped over the matter, the IAS officer is believed to be stable and has been advised full rest.

Furthermore, the Police are also likely to question the visiting IAS officer after whose visit the officer attempted suicide.
