Students paint to promote message of ‘BetiBachao BetiPadhao’

On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana, a painting completion was organised at DIET Kishtwar under the ongoing ‘Noor Jivan Ka Betiyan' drive to further promote the aims of ‘BetiBachao BetiPadhao' campaign.
Among others present on the occasion were CEO Kishtwar, Tariq Khoja, Principal DIET Kishtwar, Ashok Kumar besides officials of Social Welfare Department and staff of respective schools and scores of students from both private and government-run schools.
The main motive behind organizing such competitions was to promote the message of empowerment of girls, reinforce gender equality and to aware people and students about the ill effects of the declining child sex ratio.
On the occasion, a painting competition was held between two categories elementary and secondary level wherein students expressed their views through the medium of colours and expressed the message of BetiBachao BetiPadao.
Later, certificates and prizes were also distributed among the winners along with consolation prizes respectively amongst the best-judged students by the CEO Kishtwar.
