Stand Shoulder To Shoulder With Govt

It is really unfortunate that during this time of the year, instead of launching special trains and flights to bring tourists to Jammu and Kashmir, the government has to take contrary steps to send back tourists to their native places as Pahalgam terrorist attack has led to a setback to tourism in the UT.

Although the loss of lives is colossal but for the countrymen, this is a testing time to prove that India will emerge stronger out of this tragedy fighting back those who want it to be weak and destabilized.

It is need of the hour that India should move on with determination to fight Pakistan sponsored terrorism with added zeal and resolve as it has become clear that the rogue nation is not going to mend its ways despite its internal problems and dwindling economy. It is necessary that all the entities across India whether individuals, communities, political parties or any other form of people’s groups should stand together supporting the government led by PM Narendra Modi in fight against terrorism and also to teach a befitting lesson to Pakistan by taking a decisive action.

Already India has taken strong steps against Pakistan by downgrading the diplomatic ties, ensuring ouster of Pakistani military attaches, suspension of the over six-decade-old Indus Water Treaty and closing of the Attari land-transit post during the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) meeting held after the reprehensible Pahalgam terrorist attack, allegedly carried out by terrorists trained in Pakistan.

All said and done, this terrorist attack is a big setback for J&K’s tourism industry as the US has reportedly issued a ‘Do Not Travel’ advisory for the region owing to the terror attacks in the Union Territory and also within 10 kms of the India-Pakistan border. The aforesaid warning for US citizens was issued a day after terrorists opened fire in Kashmir’s Pahalgam killing 26 people, mostly tourists, in what is the deadliest attack in the Valley since the Pulwama strike in 2019.

Instead of losing hope, this is the time for people from across the country irrespective of their background or political beliefs to stand together with Prime Minister Modi and the government. Only by staying united can India send a strong message that it will not be weakened by such attacks and will take firm action to protect its people and sovereignty.
