Shah Rukh Khan and family pay respects to Menaka Irani at Farah Khan’s home
The tragic demise of veteran actress Menaka Irani last week left the Bollywood community in mourning. Irani, who was director Farah Khan’s mother and the sister of Honey Irani, passed away at the age of 79. Many celebrities recently visited Farah Khan’s residence to pay their last respects.
Among them were superstar Shah Rukh Khan along with his wife Gauri Khan and daughter Suhana Khan. Videos shared online show SRK arriving at Farah’s home in his vehicle with his family in tow. The trio were seen walking towards the lifts as they headed inside. In another video, Shah Rukh is spotted exiting later while Farah accompanies him to the door.
The bond between Shah Rukh and Farah is strong given their successful collaborations over the years on films like Main Hoon Na, Om Shanti Om and Happy New Year. Their presence at this difficult time is a testament to the friendship and support they share.
Others spotted paying homage to the late Menaka Irani include Rani Mukherji, Shilpa Shetty, Fardeen Khan and Salim Khan. Music artist Bhushan Kumar and rapper MC Stan also came to offer their condolences.
Farah took to Instagram to express grief over losing her mother while Zoya Akhtar fondly remembered her “Menka aunty” who helped shape her life. The Bollywood circles are still coming to terms with the loss of the veteran actress who passed surrounded by family.
