Respect Corona Warriors

Omkar Dattatray

Respect others and you will be respected is an old adage and it is true for all times and situations. So this postulate is true for the corona warriors as well. The people are morally bound to respect the corona warriors as they are the first line of for us and fight for our cause and benefit. They deserve more respect and reverence from the public for whom they fight and save us from the coronavirus. The corona warriors risk their precious lives as they are exposed to the deadly virus while fighting for our and safety. Thus it becomes our responsibility to revere and respect them as they fight the coronavirus for our benefit and save us from the deadly clutches of the virus which has invaded the country. Corona warriors like the doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, police, safai karamcharis', panchayat volunteers deserve our respect. All these members of the society including the medical fraternity risk their lives for our sake and make sincere efforts to save us from the coronavirus. The general public is expected to respect these warriors who are not less than the gods and goddesses and thus deserve our respect and recognition. But what is happening in the country is condemnable and unwarranted and has no place in the democratic nation and all of us should condemn it with one voice. The corona warriors are working for the nation and for the citizens while risking their lives and they take it as their sacred duty and we should appreciate their work for the cause and respect them. Some corona warriors have sacrificed their lives while fighting for the nation but some among us deliberately disrespect and malign them and they are the enemies of the nation and should be taken to task for this as we cannot tolerate the disrespect of our corona warriors who are more dear to us. It is unfortunate that while the corona warriors are fighting the deadly virus for our cause and there are some who some who show disrespect to them and they should not be spared at any cost but should be made to pay a heavy price for their anti-national work. It has been seen that some people particularly the Tabligi Jamaat activists have disrespected the corona warriors who were treating them but instead of co-operating with the warriors they were insulted and disrespected which is very unfortunate and should not have happened. This behaviour of the Jammat activists have brought disrepute to their religion and they should see to it and not indulge in the anti religion and anti human activities. The general public is required to co-operate with the medical fraternity and all other corona warriors who are fighting this battle for the nation. Therefore instead of obstructing the work of these corona warriors we should facilitate their work for our own good and not become an obstacle for these true patriots but help them with our moral support. The corona warriors work for us in these trying times and crisis and we on our part should recognise our responsibilities and respect them and facilitate their work by remaining indoors and while venturing out we should maintain social distance. This will help the authorities and the corona warriors in the fight against coronavirus. Thus we can also help the corona warriors while confining ourselves to our homes and hearths. Moreover, the union government have recently launched an online data pool of critical human resource employed for combating and containing Covid-19 across the country. The dashboard mentions the exact number of professionals from various disciplines, departments and sections available in each state and every district. This online data pool includes a break up of doctors, nurses and other health care professionals, volunteers from different organisations, ex-servicemen etc deployed on the ground level as a ready reckoner for administrators in states, districts or municipalities. Coronavirus pandemic invasion is not less than a social emergency and we should see the nicety of the situation and help the government and the NGOs in their fight against the virus. The general public can also become passive corona warriors while remaining indoors and following the guidelines of the government and facilitating the government in its resolve of fighting the coronavirus. In brief we should salute the bold corona warriors for their noble work of fighting the covid-19 and working for the national interest and appreciate their dedication and work.
