Bhubaneswar, Aug 31: In a recent visit to Odisha, Reserve Bank of India Governor Shaktikanta Das expressed confidence that Unified Payments Interface (UPI) digital transactions will continue expanding internationally. “UPI has found acceptance in many markets outside India, and we anticipate this global momentum will keep building in the coming years,” stated the central banker. Only a few days prior at an event in Mumbai, he elaborated on initial partnerships with nations like Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Singapore, the UAE, Mauritius, Namibia, Peru, France and others to enable RuPay card payments and UPI transactions.
