Pulwama, May 2: In Dangarpura, Pulwama encounter which broke out on Saturday morning at least four-five terrorists were believed to be holed up in the area out of which 2 have been neutralized by the security forces.
After the firing stopped from both sides for about an hour, the security forces started a search operation, the hidden terrorists again started firing . The bodies of the slain not in police custody yet. Reports of heavy stone pelting have also come to fore from the spot.
The number of terrorists present is between four or five and the police has also informed that they belong to Jaish-e-Mohammed.
Pulwama Police received information from reliable sources this morning about the presence of terrorists in Dungarpora area. JKP's SOG , along with 55 RR and CRPF cordoned the area and started a search operation.
On being surrounded by security forces, the terrorists opened fire on the security forces. There have been reports of two terrorists being killed in an encounter going on from 6.30 am. Security forces say that two to three terrorists may still be hiding in the area.
