Two militants died and two policemen were injured in an encounter with government forces in Pulwama district in south Kashmir on Thursday, police said.
SSP Pulwama Rayees Mohammad Bhat said that two militants were killed in the gunfight that erupted in Newa area of the district.
He said bodies of both the militants have been recovered from the site of the encounter.
“Two cops have also been wounded in firing,” said another police official.
