Pakistan fires at Indian posts in Uri

Uri, Sep 20: Pakistan Army fired at Indian posts in and 's Uri on Tuesday, two days after a massive terror strike killed 18 soldiers at an army base in the garrison town, a defence source said.

“Pakistani troopers resorted to heavy gunfire with small and automatic fire arms from across the Line of Control (LoC). No damage was caused to Indian posts. The fire was returned,” the source said.

The firing violates the 2003 ceasefire agreement between and Pakistan along the boundary and the LoC — the de facto border that divides Jammu and Kashmir between the two neighbours.
