Pak attempts pushing terrorists into J&K before snow fall

Date:

, October 28 (KIP):- Next two months are very crucial on the LOC and on the IB in Jammu and inputs from intelligence agencies say so. During these two months Pakistani troops may increase the level of ceasefire violations by targeting border outposts and civilians houses.

This is being done to provide fire cover to groups of militants who have been brought again on the launch pads for getting them pushed into Jammu and Kashmir. The Pakistani troops know it well that within these  next two months major part of the LOC may get impassable for the militants to  cross into  Kashmir because of heavy snow.

In order to make up for this deficiency the Pakistani troops plan to raise the level of ceasefire and infiltration.           Pakistan knows that once militants were unable to cross into Kashmir it would be end to violence and turmoil needed for keeping the Kashmir issue alive. In the absence of fresh infiltration Kashmir would enjoy peace. And in that case separatists too could hardly enforce their appeal for shutdown. They succeed because of the backing they receive from militants.

Hence the border conflict may witness alarming dimensions. In this connection the Indian troops and the BSF, guarding the LOC and the IB respectively, have been told to upgrade the security grid and if there was need deploy additional companies of Army and BSF.         In addition to this troops have been told to make use of latest sophisticated gadgets for the purpose of monitoring the movement of militants. Once their movement was noticed the Indian forces could initiate measures for checking ingress of militants.(KIP)
